DO RESIN PRODUCTS TURN YELLOW?
We use an epoxy resin which provides some protection to UV light however, as UV light is extremely powerful the best way to prevent fading is to keep your resin products out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time.
IS RESIN HARMFUL TO MY HEALTH?
Most epoxy resins are harmful to your health and respiratory system and give off noxious fumes therefore, it’s important when purchasing resin products to be aware of what epoxy resin has been used. However, our resin products contain no cheap fillers, no solvents and is non-toxic! So, the answer is NO, our resin products are non-toxic and perfectly safe to use.
IS YOUR RESIN HEAT RESISTANT?
As resin is resistant to heat it is not heat proof, once cured our resin products can tolerate up to around 50C or 120F. If our resin products are exposed to heat above this they may become flexible but once cooled off they will harden up again. Typically, heat generated from a cup of tea or coffee on a coaster will not damage the cured resin however, resin products should not be placed in the oven, microwave or placed under a hot dish as it could cause irreparable damage to your resin product.
ARE OUR PRODUCTS FOOD SAFE?
Many resin art products are unsafe and can be toxic especially when dealing with food and drink. However, we can ensure that all of our products are fully food safe once fully cured (72 hours after production). This means it is completely safe for direct food contact with any of our resin products from when they arrive at your location!
